Our Funeral Directors are trained to look after you in the event of a child or baby passing away.

We work closely with everyone involved to ensure your loved one has a respectful and dignified funeral service.

 

Our professional fees are waived in the event of a child or a baby passing away.

 

The only fees payable are disbursements which are for third parties, if applicable.

 

For children up to and including the age of 16 we provide the following services free of charge:

 

• Provision of a casket or coffin in white, yellow, pink or blue (other options available)

• A hearse or hearsette to transport your loved one to their final resting place.

​

• Bringing your loved one into our care, washing and dressing them and any visits to our Chapel of Rest.

​

• Making all of the funeral arrangements as instructed by the family.

​

​

• Our Funeral Director to look after the family on the day of the funeral and provision of necessary staff.

​

• You as a family are always in charge and we are here to help and guide you through the procedure of all arrangements.  You may wish to choose a different coffin or request additional services of which we are more than satisfied to guide you through.

 

We may help you with flowers, orders of service, music and catering arrangements and advise you of the costings at such time.

 

 

In 2019, The Childrens’s Funeral Fund for England was created by Prime Minister Theresa May.  This can help to pay for some of the costs of a funeral for a child  under 18 years or a baby stillborn, after the 24th week of pregnancy.

It is not means-tested; what you earn or how much you have in savings will not   affect what you receive.  These fees help towards the cost of cremation and burial fees and also for the cost of a coffin.

The claim will be made directly by us, the funeral director. (The burial or cremation must take place in England)
